For this campaign, we were tasked to create material for Salomon Mexico City that focused on the #WelcomeBackToEarth initiative. We focused on reconnecting with nature while indirectly highlighting the durability, reliability, and visual appeal of Salomon's gear, emphasizing how it empowers athletes to conquer any environment.

The featured shoe is the XT-6 in the shortbread / poppy red / green ash color-way. Chosen for this campaign as a reminder that they share as much sport/running relevance as they do cultural lifestyle relevance. Styled with Salomon’s white Bonatti Cross Wind jacket and black Cross Run leggings to make for a popping subject against the green lush terrain. Personalized with rings, necklaces, and earrings because Sophia loves to accessorize, and so do we!

Rather than using a model, we wanted to use an athlete that truly embodied the lifestyle of Salomon gear’s empowerment in her daily life. We chose our friend Sophia whom rarely runs or poses in front of a camera, but let her confidence and love for running and the outdoors shine on screen while really putting the gear to the test.

Aiming to convey a sense of heritage and artistry, we decided to use the tangible and timeless appeal of film for the shoot. Orijinal commissioned friends & photographers Baïdi Kamagate and Isirael Woldeamanuel for their ability to capture authentic moments and emotions on film.

Shot in Northern California at Brionnes Regional Park for its isolated, lush and hilly terrain over 9 hours.
